About Star Specialized Transport
Star Specialized Transport was established in 2012 as a result of customer interest and shipping needs beyond the scope of our company equipment through Thomas Trucking. Our owners established the brokerage division, Star Specialized Transport, to better meet the needs of our long-term customers and grow our company in new and exciting ways. Since its inception, Star Specialized Transport has continued to grow each year allowing us to meet the shipping needs of our customers for all types of freight including van, flatbed, step deck, hot shot, RGN, legal and oversized loads. From the smallest partial load to the largest oversized commodity, we are dedicated to finding you the right equipment with a qualified carrier in your time frame. Regardless of our company growth, we are dedicated to maintaining the quality of service and personalized communication expected from a family-owned and operated business.
We currently have six agents in our office ready to serve each and every customer with the utmost care and friendly service. Although each customer is assigned to a primary agent to meet their shipping needs, it is our goal to ensure your business does not skip a beat in the event that your agent is out of the office for any period of time.

What is a freight broker?
Freight brokers make your job easier!
As freight brokers/agents, we serve as the liaison between shippers and carriers. Our agents will work with shippers to learn about your product (including dimensions, needs for delivery, and equipment required for transport) to provide an accurate freight quote. Additionally, we will find a qualified carrier to transport the load and verify all authority and insurance for the carrier to ensure your load is in safe hands. We will communicate with all parties throughout the process of transport, including loading/delivery contacts, truck driver, and customer to ensure everyone is aware of the shipment status and the load remains on schedule.
